Dance

The Gardendale Senior Center hosts a dance every Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. Music provided by Men in Black: Jerry Bosworth, Jerry Bradley, Buddy Bailey, Paul Simpson, Skip Drake, and Roger Bailey.

Catholic Classes

Catholicism classes are held each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 334 Main Street. For more information, call 631-9398.

CPR Classes

The Gardendale Fire Department will be teaching a CPR class one Monday of every month. For more information, call 631-6660.

Support Group

Covenant Place of Gardendale hosts a Memory Loss Support Group the second Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. Covenant Place is at 1409 Thompson Circle. For more information, call Betty Roberts at 934-2178 or Tiffany Daniel at 608-2230.

Recovery Meetings

Celebrate Recovery meetings are held at Gardendale-Mt Vernon United Methodist Church every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Call Paul Wiegert at 631-7631.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) #284 meets every Thursday, 8 a.m., in the Camellia Room at the Gardendale Civic Center.

Free Tot Shots

The Jefferson County Department of Health will host free tot shot clinics the fourth Thursday of each month at Gardendale First Baptist Church in the Family Life Center, 3-5 p.m.

Computer Classes

Gardendale Public Library offers free computer classes every Wednesday at 8 a.m. Four classes are offered: Basic Internet, basic computer, email and Word 2003.

Cub Scouts

Zumba

Mondays, 6:30 p.m.  Instructor Erin Trammell conducts a Zumba class at the Warrior Community Center. The cost for the class is $6.

Mother’s Day Out

Enon Baptist Church’s Mothers Day Out program will offer childcare for children 6 weeks to 4 years old on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program follows the Jefferson County School System calendar. Call 647-9614.

The County Line Town Council meets the second Tuesday of every month, 7 p.m., at the County Line Town Hall. Meetings are open to the public. Call 590-1649.

Preaching

Evangelist J.R. Kennedy of Daystar Motorcycle Ministries will preach the first and third Sundays, 2 p.m., at Evergreen First Baptist Church. Bro. Darryl (Buster) Chamblee will preach the second and fourth Sundays, 2 p.m. at the church, located at 2153 51st Ave. N. The Rev. John Smith is pastor.
