Police have no suspects in attempted burglary
Police have no leads in an attempted burglary at the Jefferson County Employee Credit Union at 1715 Hwy. 31 N in Fultondale on Dec. 22.
Fultondale Police Chief Byron Pigg said officers arrived at the scene within 20 seconds of the credit union’s alarm sounding at about 3:18 a.m.
Police found the door had been forced open at an empty storefront next door to the credit union. The suspects had made a hole into the credit union, but apparently fled before officers arrived. Nothing was taken.
“Apparently the alarm did its job,” said Pigg.
He added that his department has developed information on two house burglaries that happened before Christmas.
