Fultondale officials will have their scissors sharpened for December, as three businesses will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies in upcoming weeks.
Randy Posey announced at Monday’s Fultondale City Council meeting that officials with the Fultondale Chamber of Commerce and TriGreen Equipment, a John Deere dealer, will cut the ribbon on Dec. 2, 9 a.m., at the TriGreen branch at 950 Decatur Hwy.
Just 30 minutes later, nearby business Alatec Heating & Cooling LLC will host a ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m. at its new location at 1012 Decatur Hwy.
On Dec. 3, Fultondale will welcome a new restaurant into town, according to Posey. The chamber of commerce and Applebee’s management will cut the ribbon at the restaurant at 1250 Boots Blvd. at 10 a.m. Applebee’s opens for business on Dec. 6. Later on Dec. 6, the Fultondale Chamber of Commerce will host an open house, 3:30-5:30 p.m., at the Fultondale Business Center at 925 Decatur Hwy. The public is invited to attend.
At 7 p.m. on Dec. 6, Fultondale will have its annual Christmas tree lighting at the park behind Fultondale City Hall. Refreshments will be available starting at 6:30 p.m.
Also on Monday, the Fultondale City council approved a local match of $3,000 for the ClasTran program for Fultondale residents.
“That program is vital to the people who use it,” said Fultondale Mayor Jim Lowery. “I’m glad we were able to support them.”
