Tree lighting ceremony

A Christmas tree lighting ceremony sponsored by the Greater Gardendale Chamber of Commerce and the city of Gardendale will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center.

Christmas contest accepting entries

The Gardendale Beautification Commission will be holding its annual Christmas Decorating contest for all residents, businesses and churches located within the Gardendale city limits. Entry forms are not required. Judging will take place the evenings of Dec. 13 and 14. Be sure all lights are on between the hours of 6–9 p.m. If you know of a residence, business and/or church you would like to recommend to be voted on, contact Rosemary Smith at 631-4694.
