Donald and Judy Reid of Holly Pond, Alabama are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their son, Jonathan Lynn Reid, to Allison Daily Shelton, daughter of Nicky and Sheila Shelton of Blountsville, Alabama.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Keith and Ann Shelton and Beecher and Sue Yancey, and Junior and Linda Collins, all of Blountsville, Alabama.

Ms. Shelton is a 2004 graduate of J.B. Pennington High School and a 2009 graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minor in Christian missions. She is currently employed as a pediatric nurse at Decatur General Hospital in Decatur, Alabama.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ezma and the late Grady Reid and Cortez and Rusty Gable, all of Holly Pond, Alabama.

Mr. Reid is a 2004 graduate of Holly Pond High School and a 2008 graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and economics. He is currently employed at Birmingham Fasteners, Inc. in Hanceville, Alabama and serves as the youth pastor at Sardis Baptist Church in Trimble, Alabama.

The couple will exchange vows Nov. 20, 2010, at Sardis Baptist Church in Trimble, Alabama.
