Arts and Crafts Show

Tasting luncheon

Nov. 12, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The North End Council of Garden Clubs will have its annual tasting luncheon at the Gardendale Civic Center. Tickets are $5; purchase at the door or from council members. For more information, call 631-6137.

Dance

The Gardendale Senior Center hosts a dance every Tuesday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Band is “Men in Black.”

Kimberly

Spaghetti Dinner

Nov. 5, 6 – 8 p.m. There will be a spaghetti dinner at the Kimberly Senior Center.

Christmas Parade

The town of Kimberly is accepting applications to be in the town’s Christmas Parade on Dec. 4 (rain date Dec. 11). Apply at Kimberly Town Hall.

Morris

Cooking class

Nov. 13, 10 a.m. – noon Rob Harper, executive chef for Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, will host a cooking class at Mortimer Jordan High School. Tickets are $15 a person. To reserve a seat, call MJHS Choral Director Margaret Heron at 601-4435.

Corner

Fish Fry

Nov. 13, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. The Corner High School Theater Department will have its annual fish fry in the theater lobby at Corner High School. Choice of “eat in” or “take out.” All meals include cajun or regular catfish, slaw, fries, hushpuppies, drink and homemade dessert for $10. There will also be arts and crafts booths.

Family Reunion

Nov. 7 The annual Jones Family reunion will be held at the Hayden Community Center. Lunch will begin at 1 p.m. Descendents of Williman Casey Jones and Elizabeth Russell are encouraged to come. Bring a covered dish and memorabilia. For more information, call 647-5948.

Brookside

Holiday Festival

Nov. 20, 8 a.m. There will be a Holiday Festival at the Brookside Community Center including yard sales, a bake sale, hot dogs and pictures with Santa.

Trafford    

Christmas Parade

Dec. 11 Organizers are accepting entries into the annual Trafford Christmas parade. Lineup is at noon, parade starts at 1 p.m. There is no entry fee. For more information, call Pam Samuels at 647-0778 and leave a message.

Fall Festival

Nov. 7, 2 p.m. Mt. View Baptist Church on Arkadelphia Road will have a special singing service. Special guests Steel City Quartet. For more information call 590-3321.
