The parents of Justin Stockton, a Gardendale child whose death was ruled a homicide by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office in April, were arrested today on charges of manslaughter.

Jeffrey and Rebecca Stockton are each being held at the Jefferson County Jail on $30,000 bonds.

According to the Coroner’s office, Justin died on April 22 as a result of malnutrition. Walker said a grand jury convened last week to decide what charges would be brought against the Stocktons.
