FULTONDALE 55, FALKVILLE 8: Marshall scores on catch, run, punt return

Fultondale took out its season-long frustrations Friday as they walloped Falkville 55-8.
Fultondale scored five times in the first quarter, starting with a 28-yard rush by Ardarius Stewart with 9:25 left on the clock.
Stewart nailed the rushing, passing and receiving trifecta; he had 10 rushing attempts for 156 yards and was responsible for all the team’s 63 passing yards on three out of four throws.
Two minutes later, Fultondale’s second touchdown came with a 44-yard pass to Deundrea Marshall from Stewart.
The third touchdown was a 70-yard sprint by Samuel Brown, and the fourth score was an 80-yard punt return by Marshall.
The last score of the first quarter was a 14-yard run by Stewart with 1:14 left on the clock, ending the first quarter with a 35-0 score.
Fultondale kicker Enrique Aguilar scored five extra points after touchdown in the first quarter, but the sixth was blocked.
Both teams struggled back and forth in the second quarter, but Fultondale ended the half with a 49-yard run by Marshall. The score at halftime was 41-0.
The third quarter was a deadlock with scores from neither team.
Fultondale’s Marshall made a 64-yard run in the first 20 seconds of the fourth quarter for a touchdown.
With 6:41 left on the clock, Falkville’s offense got in gear with a 3-yard run by Edward Woody and a two-point conversion pass by Austin Moore to 5-foot-7, 130-pound freshman receiver Kalvin Kimbrough.
Fultondale made the last score of the night with a 10-yard run by Dijonn Temple.
Fultondale’s defense was led by Julian Hardy with 11 tackles and Kaleb Donaldson with eight.
