Frances McKay Smith, age 82, of Gardendale, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010. She was a member of Shades Mountain Independent Church and several area antique car clubs.  

Her son, Tommy Smith, preceded her in death.  

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Harry C. Smith; daughters, Sharry Nail (Sam) and Patti Bragan; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister, Edith Morgan; brother, Earl McKay.

Her funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
