Sept. 12 is the best date to plant fall greens

Garden Tip: If you plan to plant turnip greens, mix the seeds of other greens, such as radish, collard, mustard and kale along with the turnips. Always mix radish seeds with the seeds of greens as they help in keeping away insects. I have been told from older ladies that Sept. 12 is the best time to plant any of the fall greens. You can also plant cabbage, broccoli, English peas and any cool weather seed at this time.
