Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Kingdom Kids consignment sale continuing today.

Thirty percent of proceeds go to missions, with 70 percent going to the sellers, according to volunteer Jennifer Phillips. The church supports short-term local, national and international missions programs, including Royal Family Kids Camp for children currently in the court systems.

More than 300 sellers participated last year and at least that many are expected again this year. Phillips said clothing is the most common item at the sale.

The sale is open to the public:

• today, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Saturday, 7-11 a.m., with a half-off sale
