Add another honor to Brandon Brindley’s wrestling résumé.

The two-time state champion from Mortimer Jordan has been ranked sixth in the nation at 130 pounds by USA Wrestling, the governing body of the sport.

Brindley finished fifth last month in the Greco-Roman 130-lb. division at the USA Wrestling Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. The tournament is the largest amateur wrestling event in the world.

Brindley, who is entering his sophomore year with the Blue Devils, won AHSAA state championships in 2008 and 2009, and was runner-up in 2010.
