Mixture to solve fern problems
Published 11:30 am Monday, June 28, 2010
Garden tip: If you are having trouble with your ferns, use this mixture: In a quart of water in a hand sprayer, using all of the quart on one plant for insect control, mix 1 teaspoon of dish liquid with 1/4 cup of ammonia. Spray the fern and let it stay on the plant for one hour, then spray with clear water. Repeat this every five days. Then mix one tablespoon of caster oil with one tablespoon of baby shampoo. Over spray the plant until all of the insects are gone.
