Yard Sale Fundraiser

June 12  The North Jefferson Women’s Center is having its annual yard sale fundraiser. Call 617-1551 or 427-3376 to set up a time to drop off donations.

Church Homecoming

June 13, 10:30 a.m. East Gardendale Baptist Church is having its twelfth homecoming. Lunch will be served. Guest singers “To the End.” For more information call 608-0889.

Kid Crusade

Vacation Bible School

Driver’s Education

June 24-25, 8 a.m. – noon AARP driver’s education classes will be at the Gardendale Senior Center. Cost is $14, or $12 for AARP members. For more information or to register, call 631-7240.

Class Reunion

July 17, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Acipco/Eagan Grammar School Reunion (classes of 1922-1970) will be a Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Drinks will be furnished. Bring a covered dish. For more information call George Nash at 902-5400.

Support Group

Free Child Care

There will be free child care in the Mt. Olive area for infants. The early head start program is now enrolling for the summer. Regular full-day childcare is offered. Call 608-1661.

New Student Registration

July 22, 9-2 Mortimer Jordan High School will host new student registration at the school. All new students, except those transferring from North Jefferson Middle School, must bring a proof of residence and two utility bills.

Mother’s Day Out

Enon Baptist Church’s Mothers Day Out program will offer childcare for children 6 weeks to 4 years old on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program follows the Jefferson County School System calendar, so is closed during all of the breaks. Call 647-9614.

Vacation Bible School

June 26, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Harmony Baptist Church and Mt. View Baptist Church will co-host Vacation Bible School at Harmony. Three years through teens are invited. For more information call 368-8259.

Class Reunion

Aug. 7, 5 p.m. Phillips High School will host its 55th year class reunion for all 1954, 1955 and 1956 alumni to be held at the Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham. A block of rooms is reserved for out-of-towners arriving on Aug. 6.
