- Mt. Olive resident Charline Booth, right, buys some of Nancy Spinks’ produce at the Gardendale Farmers’ Market on Thursday. Spinks owns Spinks Farms in Blount County with her husband, Troy. Spinks said she and her husband picked their greens the morning of the farmers’ market opening and the rest of their vegetables the day before.
One could find all the fresh fruits and vegetables one could want on Thursday at the new farmers market in Gardendale.
The market is open once a week through July.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Gardendale is sponsoring the market, which is located in the Kmart parking lot off of U.S. Hwy. 31.
