Hodges scores twice in MoJo scrimmage; Hayden plays Friday

Freshman-to-be quarterback Devlin Hodges scored two rushing touchdowns Monday during Mortimer Jordan’s annual Blue-White spring scrimmage game, won by the White team by a 33-14 score.

Hodges scored on a 50-yard scramble and a one-yard dive.

Junior Seth Holzhauer, one of several player in the running for the starting quarterback spot for the Devils this fall, connected early on a 13-yard pass to Logan Motte.

Bradley Loggins threw a scoring pass to Jake Holland for eight yards.

Andy Herron had an eight-yard touchdown run, and Brandon Brindley ran one in from four yards out.

Austin Byrom was 5-for-6 on extra-point kicks.

• Hayden in jamboree at Appalachian: The Wildcats will play against Susan Moore for one half, and then take on J. B. Pennington in another this Friday night at Appalachian High near Oneonta.

Kickoff for the first mini-game is 5 p.m.
