Mae Christine (Chris) Williams, age 84 of Birmingham went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 9, 2010. She attended Gateway Baptist Church for many years and was a longtime hairdresser in north Jefferson County. Chris was a resident of Presbyterian Manor in Tarrant and was an avid Alabama Football fan. Her brother, Eugene Hardin preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters: Barbara Wright (Robert), Lynette Broxson (Don), Jane Moore (Phillip) and Tina Kell (Derrick); sons: Anthony Williams (Alexis), Donald Williams and Michael Williams (Robbie); 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Robbie Carter (Hoyle). Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial in Walker Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel is directing.
