Leah Caitlan Gay and Cody Levi Harris were united in marriage Dec. 18, 2009, in a double ring ceremony at Flint Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. Perry Brown officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Darrell and Jama Gay of Vinemont.

The groom is the son of Brett Harris and Karen Harris, both of Cullman.

Wedding music was provided by Judy Pearson, pianist, and Scott Carpenter and Chassity Jordan, soloists.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white gown of Duchess satin which boasted a sweetheart neckline and criss-cross ruching encircling the bodice. The A-line skirt flowed into a full chapel-length train. Covered buttons adorned the back of the gown. The fingertip veil was accented with scattered rhinestones and the edging was embellished with delicate pearls. It was held in place with a rhinestone-covered bridal bandeau. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of fresh red roses interspersed with cala lilies and heart-shaped rhinestones. The stems were wrapped in white satin ribbon and rewrapped with thin sheer black ribbon. The groom wore a single red rose wrapped in the same fashion to match the bride’s bouquet.

Julie Evans was matron of honor. Maid of honor was Emily Brandon. Bridal attendants were Molly Gallian, Emily Harris and Kristen Haynes. They wore black tea-length strapless dresses; red shoes completed the ensemble. Each carried a bouquet of white cala lilies.

Katelyn Evans was flower girl.

Wedding coordinator was Evelyn Brown.

The groom’s best man was Eli Harris. Groomsmen were Erik Runge, Cordale Gay, Ethan Yarbrough and Nathan Yarbrough.

Ushers were Taylor Evans, Izaac Yarbrough and Trevor Yarbrough. They also served as candlelighters.

Jay Lamar was ring bearer.

The reception was held in the church’s fellowship hall.

The bride’s register was attended by Amy Reynolds, Markie Merritt and Savannah McAlpine.

Servers were Jyme Jennings, Alicia Jennings, Brenda Jennings, Nancy Bates, Michelle Kelley, Kelly Jones and Ashley Pearson.

Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Vinemont.
