The North Arts Council is at it again.

On Friday and Saturday, the organization will host its annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show at the Gardendale Civic Center.

There is free admission and free parking for the event, which will feature dozens of vendors selling arts and crafts and food of all kinds.

Marilyn Reese, who handles advertising for the council, said this year’s show promises to be one of the best ever. She said there were at least 50 vendors on the waiting list who could not be accommodated – thus the civic center will be packed with booths.

There will be vendors selling spring decorations, jewelry, wood crafts, hand-sewn items, handmade brooms, photography and more.

Teen Challenge and the Charity League of Birmingham for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will both have booths.

Kerry and Teresa Sparks of Kerry Sparks Music will also have a booth. In addition, the couple will be performing for the crowd at intervals throughout the day.
