Donald Jerry Lang, age 71, of Warrior, left this walk of life unexpectedly on Friday, March 12, 2010. Mr. Lang was retired from the Army Guard and Air Force with over 23 years service. 

His funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 beginning at 11 a.m. at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel with his best friend officiating, Lewis Hyde. His burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lang was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus D. and Grace Lang; brothers, Rufus D., Jr., Bob, Orville and Bill; sisters, Mavis Duncan, Jo Dudley and Joyce Sloan.

Those left to mourn their loss but to cherish his love and memories are his wife of 49 years, Mildred; daughter, DeRenda (Ronny) McCormick; son, George Lang; adopted sons, Mark Morton and Keith Johnson; grandchildren, Colt, Cody, Brandon, Morgan, Krisstopher, Kandice and Katie; great-granddaughter, Anna Kate; brothers, Jack and Jimmy Lang; sisters, Jean Gilbert, Guinda Angle, Ann Campbell and his companion Australian Sheepdog, “Aussie”.
