Plant, transplant roses this spring
Published 6:00 pm Thursday, March 4, 2010
Garden tip: The best time to plant or transplant rose bushes is in the spring. Dormant roses produce the best blossoms the first season if you plant them carefully. Remember to water the bushes for at least seven days, even if it rains. This is also the time of year to prepare soil for annual plants. Do not plant them until the danger of frost is over. Also, prepare soil for red potato seeds. Several places have potato seed in stock.
