James L “Jimmy” Weston

James L “Jimmy” Weston passed away on March 1, 2010. He was a faithful and loving husband, a wonderful and devoted dad and a generous provider. He was the former owner of Jimmy Weston Photos and was a 35 year retiree from Republic Steel. Mr. Weston was a World War II veteran of 104th Co., Artillery and Anti Aircraft Battery D. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 668.

He survived by his loving wife and caregiver Sherry H. Weston and his devoted daughter Amanda Leigh (Rick) Aleman. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank special people in his life, Teresa, Mark and families, Karen and Richard, Melvie, Linda Grissom, Jack Wood and Josh Pollard.

He was a kind and caring man, always helping someone.

Funeral services will be held at Gardendale Funeral Home on Friday, March 5 at 11 a.m. in the chapel. visitation will be Thursday, March 4 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Brother Rudy Sandlin officiating.
