Zenith Alma Finkley Williamson

Zenith Alma Finkley Williamson, age 73 of Gardendale, passed away on Sunday January 31, 2010. She was originally from Louisville, Miss. and had lived in Gardendale for more than 30 years. She was a member of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church. She worked in the credit department of Sears Roebuck, Inc, retiring after more than 30 years of service. After her retirement she worked for AmSouth Bank in Birmingham. She was married to Les Williamson for 52 years until his passing on March 17, 2009. She is survived by her son, Michael Drew Williamson and his wife Kelly D. Click  Williamson; grandson, Asa Van Williamson; brothers, Douglas Finkley of Birmingham, and Victor Finkley of Grenada, Miss.; sister, Vale Finkley Tabor of Louisville, Miss. and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Gardendale Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Legg officiating. Music will be led by Ms. Charlotte Guffin. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Moncrief Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
