Fertilize daffodil plants, not blooms

Garden tip: Sprinkle fertilizer over the tops of daffodils as they come out of the ground, but do not fertilize any of the daffodils after they bloom. Be sure to place all cut daffodils in a vase by themselves because they exude a sap that poisons other cut flowers.
