A Marshall County man was killed Wednesday night in a car crash on Highway 160 in Hayden.

The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. and reportedly occurred near Auction Road, past the Hayden Post Office and the Dean’s Ferry Road intersection.

Jeffrey Morrison, 38, of Albertville, was reportedly driving a white Saturn. He collided with Amy Taylor, 30, of Kimberly, who was driving a 2001 Dodge Durango. She was airlifted by Life Saver helicopter to UAB Hospital.

There was no word on her injuries as of Thursday afternoon. A report on what caused the crash will not be available until next week, according to Trooper Charles Dysart.
