The City of Fultondale is in the market for a new piece of equipment for its street department.

On Monday night, the city council authorized Mayor Jim Lowery to take and award bids for the purchase of a new limb loader.

A deadline date to receive bids was not set by the council.

In other business, the council:

• extended a moratorium on issuing liquor and alcohol licenses an additional 90 days as recommended by the planning commission

• tabled a first reading on an ordinance to rezone 1910 Fulton Road from R-2 (residential) to M-1 (light industrial) as applied for by Charles Lucas
