What has become an annual tradition will this year offer guests an inside peek at how it’s all done.

The North End Council of Garden Clubs will host its annual Tasting Luncheon on Nov. 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Gardendale Civic Center. The council has hosted the luncheon every year for more than 25 years.

A twist for this year’s event is that garden club members have compiled a cookbook that will be for sale at the luncheon, allowing people to learn for themselves how some of their favorite dishes are made.

“We have some of the best cooks in this part of the county,” said Phoebe Limbaugh, who handles publicity for the North End Council of Garden Clubs. “We wanted to premier the cookbooks at this event because we thought they would make excellent Christmas presents.”
