This week’s high school football game featuring Gardendale at Mortimer Jordan has been moved to Thursday night.

The move was announced to students at both schools Monday. Mortimer Jordan baseball/cross country coach Shayne Carnes confirmed the move Monday night.

Friday night’s weather forecast calls for a good chance of storms and heavy rain.

As of now, Corner’s game at Hayden is still scheduled for Friday. However, Hayden High officials have twice moved game from Friday to Thursday, including last week’s homecoming game, in an effort to avoid bad weather.

Additionally, Fultondale’s game at Pleasant Valley is still on for Friday.
