Twenty-four residents and employees of Alabama Teen Challenge left Hayden on Monday morning to bicycle more than 300 miles to Gulf Shores.

The trip is both a fund-raiser and an effort to raise awareness.

“We really want to emphasize to people that the cycle of addiction can be broken,” said Jason Easter, ATC program director.
