A very special happy birthday to my No. 1 granddaughter, Devan Doyle (13) on Oct. 8. I love you so much. I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

• THIRST will be Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at Love’s Crossing Church of God. The service will also mark our six-month anniversary. If you haven’t been yet, you don’t know what you’re missing.

• Mavis Lawson will be having her Bible Study on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at the office of Warrior Medical Association in the waiting room. Special guest will be Kim Chappelle.

• Chris Isbell will be 17 on Oct. 5.

• Happy anniversary to: Darrell and Denise Chamblee on Oct. 6; Jerome and Janice Cannon on Oct. 7; and Phil and Diana Tyler on Oct. 9.

• National Healthcare Quality Week is Oct. 11-17.

• Happy birthday to: Joey Baily on Oct. 6; Erskin Collar on Oct. 7; Joshua Rogers on Oct. 8; Darrell Chamblee on Oct. 10.
