NJMS volleyball team wins county tourney

The North Jefferson Middle School volleyball team won the County Championship last Saturday. They finished the season 26-4. These girls had to play and win 11 games last Saturday to win the championship. They were recognized at the North Jefferson Middle School football game on Monday night. Congratulations girls!
• Mortimer Jordan High School ground breaking will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6 beginning at 10 a.m. at the new site.
• Today is Bryan Elementary School’s annual fall festival from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Happy 40th birthday to Candi Hill. A party was held in her honor at Homefield in Fultondale last night. Welcome to the 40 club, Candi! Hope you had fun!
