The Warrior Police Department is seeking the help of citizens to find two men, one of whom is thought to be a danger to the public.

On Sunday at about 9 p.m., a white male used a sawed-off shotgun to rob Movie Gallery at 309 Cane Creek Road, according to Warrior Police Sgt. Corey Archer.

No one was injured during the incident.

The man is described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

He reportedly has close-cropped blonde hair with a bald spot on the left side of his head.

He was wearing blue jean shorts and a white T-shirt with a round green logo on it, according to the police report.

“He would definitely be considered dangerous,” Archer said.

Police are also looking for a man who reportedly escaped from the city jail on Saturday.

According to Archer, Wesley Lynn Higginbotham, age 36, was doing some work at the police department when he walked off.

Higginbotham, who was jailed at Warrior on misdemeanor charges, reportedly lives in the north Jefferson County area.

He is a white male and is 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue pants, no shirt and flip-flops.

Archer asks that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Higginbotham or the man who robbed Movie Gallery at gunpoint to call the Warrior Police Department at 647-0521.
