Garden Tip: Here is a soil recipe for rose bushes that I found: use 7 parts garden loam, 2 parts peat moss (be sure to wet the moss), 1 part alfalfa meal or hay, 1 part cotton seed meal, 1 part cow manure, 1 box of bone meal and 1 part sphagnum moss. Mix together and place in your rose bush hole. You can also use it around an established rose bush.
