Tomorrow is Father’s Day, so go out and buy that tie that everyone makes fun of. Really, Father’s Day is a wonderful day to honor our fathers and grandfathers for everything they do for us and for who they are. I am so happy to have my “Diddy.” I love you!

• Happy birthday to one of the sweetest people I know, Mary Hall, on June 23. I’m sure she is turning 21 this year.

• Happy anniversary to my parents on June 24. I hope the two of you enjoy many, many more wonderful years together full of marital bliss.

• East Gardendale Baptist Church will have a VBS parade June 27 at 11 a.m. to kick off VBS. VBS is June 27-July 2 from 9 a.m. to noon and is for grades K-6. Call 608-0889.
