Today is the 45th anniversary of Cecil and Polly Fulmer. Hope you have a great day and upcoming year. The best to each of you as you celebrate this special date.

• Happy birthday to James Dobbs, Ralph James, Sybil James and Diana Manasco on June 21 and to Chris Sloan on June 23.

• Happy birthday on June 25 to Bobby James Haiston (the grandson of Bobby and Dot Mann), Garey Lowe (the son of Essie Mae Lowe) and Johnathan Green (the son of Rispa Green).

• Happy birthday to Rose Lee Bailey and son, Grant Hope, on June 26.

• The Cane Creek Community Club will have Boston butts to benefit the fire department July 1-3. Call 647-1593 to pre-order or you might be left out. The cost is $25 and will be available after 4 p.m. each day.

• Joe and Norma Perryman have just returned after a 15-day cruise to Panama. They went from Fort Lauderdale to Mexico (the ban had been lifted) then on to San Francisco. They then took a plane back to Alabama.

• The Cane Creek Community Club would like to thank each business that helped them for the community day on June 6: IGA, West Blount Meat, Outback Steak House, O’Charley’s, Big Daddy’s BBQ, Stix, Logan’s Steak House, Sparkclip and Chili’s.

• Please continue to pray for our country and the troops in harm’s way.
