Happy anniversary to Nina and Michael Andrzejewski on June 14. I hope you two share many, many more wonderful years together as you serve our Lord in the great country of Portugal.

• Tomorrow is Flag Day, so, if you own a flag, proudly wave it in honor of this day and thank the Lord for all of the soldiers that give so that we have the freedoms that we enjoy today.

• East Gardendale Baptist Church will host its 11th homecoming celebration. Sunday school, 9:30 a.m., worship at 10:30 a.m., lunch follows. Special guests are “Uplifted.” Call 608-0889 for mor information.

• Beechwood Baptist Church is hosting vacation Bible school for children age 4 through sixth grade at 6-8:30 p.m. each day. Call 631-4531.

• Please continue to pray for Joyce Sanford and her family at this time. She is battling some major health issues, but we know the great Physician. Just keep holding to His hand.

• Gardendale-Mt. Vernon was proud to host the Southern Regional Educational Board for 4 days in the month of June. Teachers attended a four day conference led by the SREB for continuing education. Gardendale Mt. Vernon was pleased to be able to open the church doors to support our educators.
