The Fultondale Police Department is seeking a man suspected of robbing a convenience store on May 19.

The incident happened at 9 p.m. at the Chevron station at 2500 Walker Chapel Road.

Det. David Rogers said a white male entered the business and asked for change for a $1 bill from a female cashier. When the woman opened up the register, the man pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the drawer.

The man then left the store. The cashier was reportedly not injured.

Rogers described the suspect as between five-foot-seven and five-foot-10 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a dark long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

The suspect reportedly left the scene in an older model red BMW. Rogers said a witness reportedly spotted the vehicle parked behind the business prior to the robbery.

Anyone with any information on the crime is asked to call the Fultondale Police Department at 849-5456.
