Happy Mother’s Day to all of the women blessed enough to be called “Mom.” I especially want to tell my mom, Denise Tesseneer, what a wonderful mom that she is and thank her for always putting up with me and my siblings. I love you, Momma.

• Happy belated birthday to Trinity Andrzejewski. Trinity and her family are missionaries to Portugal, but they are originally from Gardendale.

• Please pray for Bobby Whited while he is stationed in Afghanistan serving his country. We would also like to wish Bobby a happy birthday on June 6 when he turns 20.

• Friendship Community Church Decoration will take place tomorrow. Lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m. A singing featuring Total Praise will start at 1:30 p.m.

• Happy birthday to Jennifer Fox on May 15.

• The North Jefferson Women’s Center will hold a huge yard sale today at 8 a.m. at 577 Melonie Lane. Donations are being accepted in the garage/carport at the above location or at the Women’s Center. Call 631-8809 or 608-0757 for more details.

• We want to wish a very special happy 100th birthday to Josie Blackstock. I’m sure she could tell us some stories that would keep us captivated for days. We hope you have a wonderful year!
