Dorothy Inez Long, age 83, of Morris, left this walk of life to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Being surrounded by her loving and caring family, she was welcomed into her heavenly home by her husband of 57 years, Renon. Mrs. Long leaves behind to cherish her love and memories her daughters, Marlene (Donald) Meadows and Cindy Arledge; son, Richard Long; grandchildren, Kevin Wayne (Tina) Meadows, Keith (Michelle) Meadows, and Heather Arledge (Jake) Kirk; great-grandchildren, Ericka and Daniel Meadows, Brandon Meadows, Kristal Sewell (Jarod) Moon and Kelsey Sewell; soon to be born, Koby Kirk and her loving church family of Haig Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services for Mrs. Long will be held in the chapel of Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 beginning at 2 p.m. with Bro. Billy Martin to officiate. Her burial will be beside her husband in Liberty Minter Cemetery, Morris. Visitation was held in the chapel of Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
