Garden Tip: Now is the time to fertilize any of your daylily plants if you have not done so. Remember to fertilize your roses every month and watch out for black spots on the leaves. To prevent this problem, spray your rose plants with skim milk in a hand-held sprayer a month before the last expected frost. Do this early in the morning and repeat every five to seven days for the next six weeks. This should help with your rose bushes being spot-free all summer long.
