Garden tip: If you have moss in areas that you do not want moss growing, spray it with a soapy water mixture. Then, sprinkle baking soda over the moss two days later. If this one application does not get rid of the moss, then repeat the soapy water and soda mixture.

• The Warrior Lions Club still have the Warrior historical calendars for a donation of $5. When these calendars are gone, they will not be available again.

• Happy birthday greetings go to a couple of great young ladies, Lydney Smith and Sydney Sloan on March 14. Lydney is a great garden helper and Sydney is my granddaughter. For you two, I wish for you the greatest birthday and year.

• On April 16-17, the North End Council Flower Show will be part of the Gardendale Magnolia Festival. If you have never visited the show before, you will be surprised. There will be a junior display, many artistic designs, table settings and much more. The theme will be “New York, New York.” If you need flower pots, plants or magazines, this will be the place to purchase at a discount. The North End Council is a non-profit club. Admission is free. See you there.

• Our country and troops in harm’s way still needs prayers.
