Mrs. Doris Lucile “Ludie” Hudgins, age 87, of Mt. Olive, passed away February 25, 2009. She was a devoted member of Calcedonia Baptist Church for 50 plus years. She was retired from Hangar One in 1987 with 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Evie Byrd; her brother, Thomas R. Byrd; and her husbands, Mr. Conrad Reeser and Mr. Darryl Hudgins. She is survived by her bro. Mr. Ralph Byrd; sister-in-law, Teetsie Byrd; nephews, Robert (Katie) Byrd, Donnie (Patsy) Byrd and Ricky (Nora) Byrd; nieces, Diane Wyatt and Barbara Byrd. She is also survived by several extended family members and a host of friends. Chapel service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Rev. Danny Miller officiating.
