If you have not noticed that everything in Fultondale is great, what can we say? If you live here, work or shop here then you know what I am talking about. We have the best place in Alabama to work, the best restaurants around and the safest and best stores to shop. If you want to check us out, come to Fultondale.

• I would like to remind everyone to remember our military personnel in your prayers. One of our own is Cpl. Chaney D. Hubbert (daughter of Councilman Darrell and Tammy Hubbert) who is in the Marines. If you would like to send her a card, letter or a goody bag, send it to: USS San Antonio, CLB 26 DET C, Unit 73897, FPO AE 19502-3897. I am sure she would appreciate it.

• I wanted to let everyone know the new telephone number for the street department in case you need to talk to someone about limb or leaf pickup or the streets. The new number is 841-0786 and someone will be there to answer all your concerns.

• I would like to ask everyone to say a special prayer for Mr. Ken Crowe who is in Brookwood Hospital. Most of you know Ken and Carolyn Crowe or their daughter Kim (Crowe) Waters. He needs your prayers. We hope he gets better real soon.

• It does not take much to let someone know how much love or care for them. We need to do this everyday, not just on Feb. 14.

• I would like to send a special Valentine wish to my children and grandson, Amy and Derek Barnes and Eli Booker. To my daughter-in-law to be, Jessica Mullins, I love you and hope you have a great Valentine’s Day.

• Happy birthday wishes go to Jessica Allen on Feb. 15. Jessica is a valuable employee with our library and we hope she has a wonderful birthday. A special birthday wish goes to officer Tim Parker on Feb. 19. We hope he has a great birthday.

• Remember if you have news, anniversaries, birthdays or reunions, let me know.
