Brookside receives gift from Gardendale

- The Gardendale City Council’s resolution to donate a used fire truck to the Town of Brookside became a reality on Monday when the truck was delivered to Brookside’s town hall. From left, Brookside Fire Captain Shawn Joiner, Brookside Fire Chief Donnie Huey, Gardendale Fire Chief Clint Doss, Gardendale Mayor Othell Phillips and Brookside Mayor Roger McCondichie are seen with the truck. Gardendale decided to donate the truck, a 1978 Pierce pumper truck, to Brookside after receiving a new fire truck last month.
