Mary Lou Barnett was born Dec. 20, 1925 and passed away Dec. 27, 2008 in Selma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Barnett; a son, Troy Sims; and a grandson, Wayne Barnett.

Surviving are her sons, Bobby (LaJuana) Barnett, and David Barnett; daughters, Donna (Ray) Gardner, and Becky (Barry) Anderson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mary Barnett was a woman who enjoyed life and loved to travel. She worked hard and raised five children while working in a factory. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be at Hanceville Funeral Home, Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at noon with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the services begin. Interment will follow in the Center Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
