Tommy Byron Parker

Funeral services for Tommy Byron Parker, 69, of Bremen will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Ryans Creek Baptist Church, Dillon Calvert and Keith Gambill officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parker died Tuesday, Dec. 16, at his residence. He was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Cullman County to Milton and Nellie Phillips Parker. He was a longtime member and deacon at Ryans Creek Baptist Church and a former Board of Education representative for the Cold Springs community. He loved his family, friends and church very much and his smile touched a lot of people.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sharon Thornton.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bobbie Parker; two sons, Brad (Timmi) Parker and Bruce (Marlene) Parker; four grandchildren, Heath, Paige, Nick and Ciara Parker; a sister, Carolyn Annette (Bill) Jett; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
