Trafford man enlists

William A. Burkett has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program, which gives men and women the opportunity to delay entering active duty for up to one year. Burkett will report to Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C., for basic training in January 2009. He is the son of Debra Missildine of Trafford.
