Bruce R. Lowery, age 52, of Gardendale, was met in his heavenly home, Friday, December 5th, 2008 by his son, Nicholas Lowery, who preceded him in death on September 4, 2007. Bruce was loved by so many. He was well known for his beautiful singing voice. He sang in GFBC’s Choir for many years. With his love of music, he had recently served as Interim Music Minister for Smokerise 1st Baptist, Jasper 1st Baptist, Liberty Park Baptist Church, and was currently serving as Interim at his childhood church of Fultondale First Baptist. He was survived by his loving wife, Rhonda; daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Ramm; beloved grandson, Cody Ramm; father and mother, Walter and Becky Lowery; brother, Skip (Tawana) Lowery; including numerous loved family and friends. Bruce showed his love and Christ filled compassion toward the people of Nicaragua through his many mission trips. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Nicaragua Missions Fund. This will go to continuing the ongoing work with the Meskito Indians who are located near the Rio CoCo River. Funds can be mailed to: 940 Main St., Gardendale, AL.
