Lady Torches turn up heat on Flint Hill

Tabernacle (2-3) defeated Flint Hill Christian School Monday night, 53-43, in girls varsity basketball action.
“Our girls played really well. They played with intensity,” said head coach Phillip Coleman. “They had great defense and moved the ball real well on offense.”
Candace Coleman was the key player on the night, getting a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Coleman also had two assists and two steals.
Kari White followed with 14 points, seven rebounds and a steal.
Heather Zassoda put in eight points and had four rebounds and three assists.
Sarah Walker chipped in two points and had five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Flint Hill (2-5) had only one player to score in double figures: Olivia Lacey with 24 points.
Tabernacle’s next home game is Monday, 6 p.m., against Tuscaloosa Academy.
