One of two men wanted in connection with an Oct. 28 robbery in Gardendale has been captured.
Lt. Chuck Denham of the Gardendale Police Department said Garon Morgan, 22, was stopped by Birmingham Police officers Thursday night in north Birmingham and taken into custody.
Morgan is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on $60,000 bond. Denham said the department does have leads on a second suspect, but would not reveal specifics of the investigation.
The robbery occurred on Kregg Drive at about 4 p.m. In a story published in Wednesday’s North Jefferson News, Denham said a resident was in the process of selling a truck when two armed men approached the seller and the buyer. After taking money from the potential buyer, the suspects then fled on foot.
Morgan was reportedly identified the next day and warrants were issued for his arrest.
